LA MIRADA -- Cal State L.A.'s women's tennis team bounced back from a disappointing midweek loss and got back on the winning track Friday in a non-conference match.
The Golden Eagles won all three doubles contests and swept the six singles matches in straight sets to post a 9-0 victory over NAIA program Biola. Cal State L.A. (9-3) won for the eight time in its last nine matches.
Ioana Comsa led the way with a 6-0, 6-0 decision at No. 1 singles. She also teamed with Bojana Ducanovic for an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles. Krishana DeSilva won at No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-1 and teamed with Jennifer Avila for an 8-0 win at No. 2 doubles.
Isis Jackson won at No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-0; Avila won at No. 4 singles, 6-0, 6-2; Linda Majzlikova won at No. 5 singles, 6-3, 6-1 and Princess Manasseh won at No. 6 singles, 6-2, 6-0.
Manasseh and Jackson won at No. 3 doubles, 8-1.
Cal State L.A. will now host an alumni event on Saturday before concluding California Collegiate Athletic Association play next Saturday, April 19, with a home match against UC San Diego.
